Recognizing the importance of creating a cat house that could not only accommodate scratching and sleeping but also facilitate play, toy-hiding, and provide a safe and comfortable retreat for your cat, we determined a cube shape would offer the greatest multifunctionality.

Narrow cottage-style cat houses with pitched roofs, for example, may boast greater height at the top, but their elongated and slender structure restricts a cat's ability to easily turn, play, or sit up anywhere other than the center and tallest part of the house.
